I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
